PHOENIX — The Phoenix Fire Department says a 2-year-old boy is in critical condition after being pulled from a Phoenix pool.
Firefighters say the incident happened Saturday afternoon at a home near the I-17 and Happy Valley Road.
When firefighters got on scene they found the parents of the 2-year-old performing CPR on the boy. Parents told firefighters the boy had fallen into the pool and was unresponsive.
EMTs continued treatment and the boy was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
Additional details about how the boy got into the pool have not been released. It’s unclear if the pool had a fence around it.
