Firefighters say they have stopped forward progress on the Aquila Fire that began on Tuesday and forced dozens of nearby residents from their homes.
Fire officials deemed it "under control" and fully contained late Tuesday night.

State Forestry officials say the 893-acre fire started around 2:30 p.m. near 27th Avenue and the Carefree Highway. Crews say the flames are burning through wash and heavy vegetation, and had destroyed at least three structures.
