A dog is lucky to be alive after being found dumped in a Phoenix trash can.
The Animal Benefit Club came to the rescue of "Cody." Volunteers say the puppy has a condition called "Cherry Eye," which may be the reason he was thrown away.
To treat his condition, Cody will need about $2,500 worth of surgery.
