A portion of Interstate 17 has reopened after officials investigated a wrong-way crash that injured two people.
A 37-year-old woman suspected of driving under the influence entered the freeway at Bell Road driving southbound in the northbound lanes and crashed head-on with another vehicle at Greenway Road, according to the Department of Public Safety.
DPS received the first report of a wrong-way driver at 12:22 a.m.
DPS said the driver of the other vehicle was injured and taken to the hospital in stable condition. The woman was also transported to the hospital in stable condition.
