A man has died after crashing into a light pole in north Phoenix on Monday night.
According to Phoenix police, a man was driving westbound on Greenway Road approaching 56th Street when he lost control of his vehicle around 8 p.m.
This caused the man to collide with a light pole near the intersection.
The man was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead, officials said.
Police say it's unknown if impairment was a factor. The man has yet to be identified pending notification of next of kin.
An investigation is ongoing.
