PHOENIX — Firefighters say a teen found at the bottom of a pool has been resuscitated and rushed to the hospital.

According to a fire department spokesperson, an 18-year-old doing yard work at a home near 32nd Street and Union Hills Drive was found unresponsive at the bottom of the pool by the homeowner.

Firefighters say the man was wearing a leaf blower backpack at the time. A Phoenix police officer helped get the teen out of the pool and start CPR until paramedics arrived.

The man was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition, firefighters said. It was not immediately clear how long he was underwater or what may have led him to end up in the pool.
