Phoenix police say a man is dead after he was stabbed by his daughter near I-17 and Cactus Road Tuesday evening.
Officials say the man was found bleeding and unresponsive when crews arrived, and he was later pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified by police as 44-year-old Cory Little.
On Wednesday, Phoenix police announced that a 27-year-old woman who was at the scene, identified by police as Shaqueila Hudson, was arrested. She reportedly told police that she stabbed her father during an argument.
Police documents say Hudson "did not intend to kill the victim" and that it was an accident that occurred while defending herself.
She was booked into jail on one count of manslaughter, police said.
Further details haven't been released.
