PHOENIX — Police are looking for answers after a 15-year-old boy was killed in Phoenix over the weekend.
Witnesses reported hearing someone struggling to breathe before collapsing in a parking lot near 31st Avenue and Yorkshire Drive around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
The victim, identified as 15-year-old Sam Cooper, was taken to the hospital by fire officials where he died from his injuries.
Phoenix police say he was suffering from trauma, but they did not give further details.
The boy’s death is classified as a homicide at this time.
