A man accused of drunk driving hit another vehicle then chased the victim around northeast Phoenix earlier this month.
On Dec. 7 around 11p.m., a clerk at the Circle K at 64th Street and Cave Creek Road called 911 after seeing a white Toyota SUV collide with a dark-colored SUV and then began chasing it.
According to documents, 48-year-old Tom Joseph Walsh was driving the white Toyota SUV. He then yelled at the victim and chased him from the Circle K. The victim drove about four miles to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Cave Creek substation.
Walsh turned around and went back to the Circle K. When he was confronted by MCSO, he took off in the SUV and was caught near his home at School House Road and Military Road less than a mile away.
A records check revealed that Walsh was driving on a revoked driver's license after a driving under the influence and reckless driving conviction.
Intoxilyzer results indicated Walsh's blood alcohol content was .214
He faces charges of extreme DUI, aggravated DUI and driving on a revoked license.
