A person is dead after a fiery crash involving two cars in north Phoenix Wednesday night.

Authorities were called to the scene near 64th Street and Shea Boulevard around 8 p.m. after receiving reports of an accident.

The driver of one of the cars died at the scene, authorities said. He has since been identified as 24-year-old Ryman Garvey. Two others were hospitalized in serious, but stable condition.

According to Phoenix police, the 24-year-old male driver who died was speeding on Shea Boulevard when he or she struck a pickup truck. The black sedan then collided with a tree in a median before catching fire.
