A man is dead after a crash involving two motorcycles and a car in north Phoenix.
Phoenix firefighters received reports Saturday afternoon after the accident happened near Cave Creek Road and Union Hills Drive.
According to Phoenix police, a male motorcyclist was involved in a crash with a car; debris from that accident caused the second motorcycle, a female rider, to go down as well.
The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition and the man, 53, was hospitalized in extremely critical condition. He has since died as a result of his injuries, fire officials said. Police have identified him as Cornelius Wouters.
The driver of the vehicle was evaluated at the crash scene and is OK. No citations were given as a result of the collision, police said.
No additional information has been released and an investigation is ongoing.
