Phoenix police are investigating after shots were fired at Desert Ridge Marketplace.
Police were called to the mall near Tatum Boulevard and the Loop 101 on Saturday night.
A police spokesperson said two men who did not know each other met in the parking lot to complete a sales transaction they started online.
According to police, the suspect attempted to rob the victim of his merchandise and the victim fired shots at the suspect.
The suspect reportedly returned fire, took the merchandise and fled on a red motorcycle.
The victim was not hit by gunfire but did sustain minor injuries as a result of the struggle.
