PHOENIX — Authorities say a former middle school employee has been arrested for sending nude images to a teen student.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers began investigating a reported sexual relationship between the former employee and a teen student in late August.
On Wednesday, police say 23-year-old Christmas White was arrested after investigators uncovered nude photos and videos were sent to the student's phone.
According to a letter sent to parents by the Paradise Valley Unified School District, White worked as a paraeducator at Greenway Middle School for the 2018-2019 school year. The district says White passed all of the background and fingerprint checks that are part of its hiring process.
White was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated luring a minor for sex and furnishing obscene material to a minor, according to online jail records.
