Police are releasing the name of a pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Phoenix Monday night.

Authorities were called to the area of 16th Street and Northern Avenue around 9:30 p.m. after 25-year-old Jadeem Mitchell was hit by a car.

According to officials, Mitchell, who appeared to be intoxicated, was walking along 16th Street when he went into the road and laid down.
