Student in custody after gun found at Cornerstone Charter High School in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a student was taken into custody after a gun was found on campus on Wednesday.

Police were called to Cornerstone Charter High School just before 11:30 a.m. for reports of a person with a gun.

Officials say the gun was located on school grounds and was taken into a school administrator's possession.

The student will be booked into the Juvenile Corrections Center.
