Phoenix Police are investigating after a deadly crash near Mountain View and Cave Creek roads overnight.
According to police, an adult man was driving a Honda Civic in the area around 1:30 a.m. when for an unknown reason, he struck a line of parked cars and barriers along the road.
The vehicle came to rest south of Mountain View Road after a 19-year-old passenger was thrown from the car.
The passenger was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police say they are investigating whether speed and impairment were factors in the crash.
