PHOENIX — Police say a girl was shot and killed while inside her home in Phoenix Friday night.
Officers were called to the scene near 48th Street and Broadway Road around 8:15 p.m.
Police said the victim, 15-year-old Graciela Molina, was sitting inside her second-story bedroom when a bullet came from outside the home and struck her.
"One of those stray rounds is what ultimately struck Graciela and killed her," said Sgt Andrew Williams, Phoenix Police Department. "I can only imagine how tragic and heartbreaking that is to have to watch a family member die in front of them."

No suspect information has been released.
