PHOENIX — This Phoenix police officer was caught in the act... but for something quite nice.

The Phoenix police department posted a photo of Officer Joe Mayfield assisting an elderly man in a parking lot of a mall.

The man was waiting for his wife in the parking lot when he needed to use the restroom. Officer Mayfield noticed that he was struggling to walk and he walked the man to the bathroom and back out to his car.

A stranger captured the moment and posted it on Instagram.

Shortly after the photo was taken, Officer Mayfield did another good deed.

He stopped to help an elderly couple change a flat tire.

Phoenix PD posted the photo on their social media to give a special shout out to the officer.

Good job Officer Mayfield!
