PHOENIX — Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened near 7th and Southern avenues Friday night.
Phoenix police said just before 7 p.m., officers responded to the area of 7th and Southern avenues for a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
Officers arrived at the scene and found a man with life-threatening injuries on the roadway. He was later transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities say the vehicle involved in the crash had immediately left the scene and not enough witnesses were located for the investigation.
The vehicle was only described as a gray or silver vehicle.
