PHOENIX — A driver has been detained after someone allegedly shot at an unmarked police vehicle in Phoenix Friday.
Police say they were conducting a follow-up on an incident when they noticed a suspicious vehicle near 19th Street and Broadway Road.
Phoenix police then followed the vehicle which then began to drive erratically. Someone in the vehicle then allegedly shot in the direction of the unmarked police vehicle.
The vehicle got away from officers and was later located.
Evidence of a shooting was located after the vehicle was stopped.
Police have not clarified if the driver is the person suspected of firing toward them.
No one was injured as a result of this incident, and this is an ongoing investigation, police say.
