PHOENIX — Phoenix firefighters are investigating a 1st alarm fire at an assisted living facility near 24th Street and Southern Avenue Sunday.
When fire crews arrived on the scene, they located heavy fire and smoke coming out of two apartment units.
The fire was then determined to be a first alarm fire, and crews worked quickly to secure a water supply to begin attacking the fire, Phoenix firefighters say.
Officials say both units were cleared of any occupants, and a total of four people will be displaced due to the fire.
