PHOENIX — The northbound lanes of 7th Avenue was closed from Southern to Sunland for several hours due to what Phoenix police say is a human waste spill.
According to Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson, the spill is approximately 75 feet long and 3 inches deep. The spill is considered a bio hazard because the it is the "type of material found in a septic tank or a temporary toilet, such as a port-a-john," Sgt. Thompson said.
Sgt. Thompson says there is no information currently available concerning exactly how the spill occurred or what the source of the spill was.
