PHOENIX — Police are investigating the shooting death of an 18-year-old man in south Phoenix.
Officers were called to the area of 40th Street and Southern Avenue around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday for a call of a shooting.
Police located David Villareal in the street with an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities say Villareal was in an argument with an unknown suspect when the shooting occurred.
The cause of the argument or motive for the shooting is unknown at this time, police say. There is no suspect description is available at this time.
