PHOENIX — One person is dead and three others are injured after a serious crash in south Phoenix overnight.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the area of 7th Street and Roeser Road where two vehicles were found overturned around 11:30 p.m Tuesday.
Phoenix police say a 38-year-old man driving a Cadillac Escalade was headed southbound on 7th Street when he ran a red light, hitting a Dodge Durango with three occupants.
The Escalade driver suffered serious injuries in the crash. The 22-year-old woman driving the Durango and a 29-year-old woman passenger also suffered serious injuries. A 38-year-old man who was also in the Durango was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information has been released.
