PHOENIX — A 63-year-old man has died after the motorized wheelchair he was using collided with a car Tuesday night.
Police say the man was crossing mid-block near 7th Street and Broadway Road when the crash occurred.
Video from the scene showed the wheelchair wedged underneath the car.
The man was left in extremely critical condition and died from his injuries at the hospital, police say.
The cause of the collision in under investigation, but police say the 25-year-old driver was not impaired at the time.
