Thirsty robber steals $1,400 worth of beer

That's a lot of Bud suds. A Phoenix man has been arrested after stealing more than $1,400 in Budweiser, committing 35 thefts in a two-month period, according to court documents.

The Phoenix Police BEST squad says 38-year-old Kyle Ardell Ruiz robbed two Circle K stores 35 times between October and December 2015.

Ruiz' beer of choice: Budweiser and Bud light.

During that two-month period, he robbed the Circle K's at 7th Avenue and Baseline and down the street at Central Avenu and Baseline Road.

Police say each time he would grab beer and some snacks including hot dogs, chips and sandwiches.

The final total on the beer and snacks stolen by Ruiz was $1,452.26.

Ruiz is facing felony charges of 35 counts of shoplifting.
