Phoenix police arrested two people driving a stolen vehicle with weapons inside overnight in South Phoenix.
The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Monday in the area of 7th Street and Southern Avenue.
Officials said they were following a stolen vehicle when they initiated the stop. The female driver stayed on the scene but the male passenger got out of the vehicle and ran.
A search was initiated and the suspect was taken into custody with the assistance of a K-9 unit.
Two weapons were found in the vehicle.
Officials have not yet released any more information about the incident.
