Second arrest made in 2018 murder of man at south Phoenix home

PHOENIX — Police have made a second arrest in the murder of George Talton, who was killed when two women allegedly broke into his apartment in May 2018.

Talton was allegedly shot and killed when the two women attempted to rob him and his apartment near 22nd Street and Roeser Road on May 7, 2019, according to court documents.

Keyanda Blakes was arrested in May and booked into jail on charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery.

This week, Kanasia Hendricks, 26, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery.

According to a previous ABC15 report, police said the suspects and victims had a known relationship. It was unclear what type of relationship nor the extent of that relationship.
