Silent Witness is asking for the public's help in identifying a group of men after one of them hit a clerk with a bottle as they stole liquor from a Safeway.

The incident happened March 8 at 1:30 a.m. at the Safeway near Baseline Road and 51st Avenue.

Silent Witness says six men between 15-20 years of age came into the store and walked to the liquor section.

The men reportedly picked out bottles of liquor and tried to leave the store without paying when they were stopped by an employee.

That's when one of the suspects hit the employee on the head with a bottle causing an injury to the employee, according to Silent Witness.

The men then fled the store on foot through the parking lot.

Four of the men are described as Hispanic, one as black and one as white.

Anyone with information is asked to call 480-WITNESS.
