Two suspects are in custody after crashing a stolen vehicle into a school bus, two other vehicles and then a house Wednesday in west Phoenix.

Detectives tracked a stolen vehicle to the area of Interstate 10 and 35th Avenue in Phoenix when two male suspects were seen getting into the white Ford pickup truck and driving away, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The pickup truck went to Avondale, back to Phoenix, Glendale and then back to Phoenix, said DPS.

In the area of 62nd Avenue and Broadway Road, DPS said the pickup truck hit a school bus carrying 10 children, one occupied passenger car and a parked car.

The driver eventually went into a neighborhood near 59th Avenue and Broadway Road.

Air15 video showed smoke coming from the pickup truck just before 2 p.m. when it crashed into the right of a vacant home's garage door.

"I didn't have time to think. I just went, moved," said Walt Hutter, who lives in the neighborhood where the suspects crashed. "All of a sudden, I saw a white pickup truck with a big dent on the side of it coming around almost on two wheels."

The suspects ran out of the truck, and one was immediately taken into custody, according to DPS. The second suspect barricaded himself in a nearby house and was later taken into custody.

"All of a sudden, the squad cars were coming in, and I saw the helicopter in the air earlier," Hutter said.

According to DPS, the two suspects are facing charges of aggravated assault, vehicle theft and criminal damage.

No injuries were reported.
