Ex-school bookstore manager pleads not guilty

A former manager of a high school bookstore accused of siphoning more than $120,000 over four years pleaded not guilty to the charges on Tuesday.

Brenda Lynn Busse, 56, was charged with one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices, theft and misuse of public monies.

The Arizona Attorney General's Office alleges Busse used the money for personal gains, including gambling.

Busse allegedly stole money from June 2007 to June 2011 and manipulated computer data to hide the theft.

Her next court date is scheduled for Feb. 3, 2016 at 8:15 a.m.
