Cold case: Still no arrests in 2011 PHX murder

Posted

It's been four years since Michael Arvallo was shot and killed along Interstate 10 while on his way home from a charity event and police have not been able to identify a suspect.

Arvallo's family and authorities hope someone who knows something will come forward with information related to the case. For now, the investigation remains open, but cold.

Silent Witness is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. They can be reached at 480-WITNESS.

Arvallo, 49, worked as an architectural drafter and was the father of four. He was driving home from a charity bowling event along Interstate 10 when he was shot and killed in his vehicle near 51st Avenue.

At the scene, police found very few clues and could not identify a motive. Family members said Arvallo didn't have any enemies and couldn't think of anyone who would want to hurt him.
