The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Monday night after a traffic altercation between three men.

The incident happened near 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road around 6:30 p.m.

As officers arrived at the scene, they located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say they found 21-year-old Chris Alejandro Romo lying outside of a car in the roadway; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old man, was transported to the hospital with gunshot injuries and remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

Police say an 18-year-old woman was also located with gunshot injuries in a parking lot in the area.

She remains hospitalized at this time in stable condition, police said.

Witnesses in the area were able to give officers a description of the suspect's vehicle and license plate.

Police then located 34-year-old Timothy Elliot Pascale's vehicle at his home in Peoria. He was then taken into custody without incident.

Pascale was booked into jail on several charges including a count of first-degree murder, a count of drive-by shooting, and two counts of aggravated assault.

Police say detectives have determined that the incident likely stemmed from a traffic altercation between Pascale and the two male victims.

The female victim was reportedly walking in the area and was completely uninvolved in the incident when she was hit by gunfire.

A nearby Good Samaritan says she sat with Romo after he was shot.

"I just want the family to know that he wasn't by himself in his last moments," said Jasmine Franco. "He was looking at me, tears were coming out of his eyes and I was just telling him to hold on, stay with me."
