Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian late Monday night in Glendale.
According to information from the scene near 51st and Peoria avenues, an elderly man was struck by a car when he walked out into traffic.
Police say the driver of the vehicle that hit the man stayed at the scene and officials do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the crash.

However, officials say a bottle of alcohol was found near the victim.
Police say the pedestrian was crossing mid-block and was not in a crosswalk. His identity has not been released.
