PHOENIX — A child and two others were rushed to the hospital after a car crashed into a home in west Phoenix on Sunday night.

According to Phoenix Fire Department officials, the incident happened around 9:15 p.m. near 87th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Once on scene, rescue crews found a vehicle upside down in the garage area of a home. A 21-year-old man, 17-year-old girl, and one-year-old child were treated and taken to area hospitals.

Fire officials said the extent of their injuries and conditions was not immediately available, but the victims are expected to survive. Authorities say no one inside the home was hurt.

Phoenix police are investigating the cause of the crash, but officials said Monday morning it appears the collision was "intentional."

The driver has been detained.
