PHOENIX — Phoenix firefighters had their hands full battling a second-alarm attic fire at a senior living center Saturday afternoon.
Officials say more than 50 firefighters were called to fight the blaze at the Phoenix Manor Senior Apartments near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road around 3 p.m.
All occupants were able to get out safely, according to Phoenix Fire Captain Danny Gile.
At least nine displaced tenants from six units are working with the Red Cross to assure temporary housing.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries have been reported at this time.
