PHOENIX — A Goodyear police officer was involved in a crash near Interstate 10 and 43rd Avenue that caused freeway closures Thursday night.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) said the crash happened just before 9:00 p.m. and involved a Goodyear Police Department patrol car and a passenger vehicle.
The freeway was closed for about 10 to 15 minutes due to the crash, DPS said.
Goodyear police confirmed the officer was returning to Goodyear after transporting a suspect to the Maricopa County 4th Avenue Jail.
No further information was provided on the injuries of the people involved in the crash.
