PHOENIX — A homicide suspect has been arrested in Phoenix after a man was found shot and killed in a front yard.
Phoenix police say the victim was found February 2 around 8 p.m. at a home near 107th Avenue and Camelback Road.
29-year-old Xavier Dillard was found with “severe physical trauma” and a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
During their investigation, police learned that Dillard was reported as missing the day before.
Police say 21-year-old Khari Lane was located and arrested by police on February 5 in connection to the shooting. Lane was armed at the time of his arrest, according to police.
Police have not released any information about what led up to the shooting or what the motive was.
