The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 in the West Valley are back open after being closed for a little more than a half-hour Sunday night.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said I-10 east was closed at 67th Avenue for a "police situation" starting around 6:45 p.m.

Video from ADOT cameras shows several Arizona Department of Public Safety vehicles on the interstate near 59th and 75th avenues.

A DPS spokesperson said the incident was being handled by the Phoenix Police Department. A department spokesperson said the situation was resolved without life-threatening injury.

The highway was reopened to traffic just after 7:15 p.m., ADOT said.
