UPDATE: Officials say exercises concluded Monday night.

The United States Marine Corps will be conducting a military training in the West Valley this week.

From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., the community may see an increased amount of military aircraft during those times. The specific types include the MV-22, AH-1, CH-1, CH-53, MH-60, AV-8, and others flying over the Valley.

Pilots are expected to primarily fly over Phoenix and Glendale, focusing on an area east of the Glendale Airport and near 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road.

Officials say the annual exercise is designed to simulate urban warfare operations and battlefield control.

They say if you hear noise, or see increased military activity, DO NOT call emergency lines or Luke Air Force Base.
