A female passenger on a motorcycle has died after a collision with a car in west Phoenix on Sunday night.
Phoenix police say just before 9 p.m., a man and woman on a motorcycle were traveling northbound on 43rd Avenue when they were struck by a southbound vehicle that was turning left onto Citrus Way.
The woman, in her 30s, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and was later pronounced dead, police said.
The male rider, in his 40s, was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
Neither of the riders were wearing helmets at the time of the collision, police said.
Police say impairment does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
The female rider's identity has not been released at this time.
