PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating after a 70-year-old man was struck by a vehicle near 42nd Avenue and McDowell Road Tuesday afternoon.
Police say a the vehicle hit the man while attempting to turn onto McDowell Road at around 12:30 p.m.
The man was then transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, officials say.
Officers say the driver remained on scene and is cooperating with officers.
Impairment is not believed to be a factor in this collision.
