Phoenix police say one of two men shot during a argument on Wednesday has died.
Police confirmed Thursday morning that the 27-year-old man was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. The man's name was not released.
A second man, 34, was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle after the incident and is listed in stable condition, according to Phoenix police spokesman, James Holmes. The man was not identified.
Police were called to a home around 10 p.m. on Wednesday near 17th and Maryland avenues to investigate reports of a shooting.
Holmes said both men were at a barbecue in the area when they got into an argument and then began shooting at each other.
Detectives have not determined what the argument was about. Witnesses at the barbecue have been interviewed, but police have not yet been able to talk to the hospitalized man.
No other details were released.
