Phoenix fire personnel responded to a house fire in west Phoenix where a person was trapped inside.
According to fire officials, crews responded to a house near 67th Avenue and McDowell Road for reports of flames coming from the roof and a person screaming for help from inside the home.
As firefighters arrived, they used air packs and a thermal imaging camera to locate the victim, a 40-year-old woman.
She was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition with life-threatening injuries, officials say.
Multiple crews arrived and helped extinguish the fire, which is now being investigated.
No firefighters were injured during the incident.
