Authorities say one person is dead after a shooting in west Phoenix.
Officials received reports about a shooting near 23rd and Glendale avenues around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday.
According to a Phoenix fire spokesperson, one person was pronounced dead at the scene and a second victim is hospitalized in critical condition.
Phoenix police say it's believed that the victims and shooting suspect know each other.
Interstate 17 at Glendale Avenue the on-ramp was closed for several hours as a result of the incident.
