Emergency crews took two children to the hospital after a crash on the west side of Phoenix.
Phoenix firefighters say seven people were hurt in the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 43rd and Glendale avenues Monday night.
Four of those patients were children. An 11-year-old girl was hospitalized in serious condition. Two others, a 41-year-old woman and an 11-year-old boy, were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Firefighters said the two vehicles crashed in the intersection. A picture from ABC15 photojournalist Eric English showed one vehicle, a red Nissan SUV, had narrowly missed a bus stop after the collision.
A driver turned in front of the SUV at the intersection, causing the collision and the subsequent crash, according to police.
The SUV then crashed into a tree near a bus stop, which was not occupied.
