Police are investigating a deadly collision involving a pedestrian and possibly multiple vehicles.

Officers responded to the area of Bethany Home Road and 36th Avenue Thursday night.

Investigators said the pedestrian, a man, was crossing the road when he was hit by a vehicle that then sped off. A second vehicle may have also hit the man and remained on scene, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle that fled the scene has not been located.

There was no word on cause or if impairment was a factor.

The crash closed Bethany Home Road between 36th and 38th avenues for several hours but it has since reopened.
