A couple walking their dog was involved in an overnight shooting in West Phoenix.
The shooting happened around 11:45 p.m. on Monday in the area of 51st Avenue and Broadway Road.
Phoenix police say a man and a woman were out walking their dog when another man approached them and asked about their dog. The couple says the man then pulled out a gun and shot the male victim in the leg before running away.
The victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
No arrests have been made and police say the incident seems to be random.
