Police looking for men who pistol whipped man in west Phoenix attempted robbery

Phoenix Police and Silent Witness are asking for the public's help in identifying a trio of men after a man was pistol whipped in an attempted armed robbery in west Phoenix. 

Authorities say just after midnight on June 1 three men attempted to take a man's property at gunpoint near 91st Avenue and Camelback Road. 

Police say during the attempted robbery, the victim fought back and suffered a laceration to his head after one of the suspects hit him several times with the handle of a gun. 

The suspects then left the area on foot. 

Two suspects were described as Black, between 5'9" and 6'3", 20-25 years old and having a medium build. One was wearing a green and brown shirt and jeans. The second was wearing a red shirt and jeans. 

The third suspect was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 20-25 years old and having a medium build. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and jeans.
