Police need the public’s help locating a 21-year-old mother who was last seen in west Phoenix.

Family members of Jasmine Rain Dunbar say the woman was last seen at home near 51st Avenue and Thomas Road Tuesday night. Dunbar's godmother, who she lives with, told ABC15 Dunbar was acting fine when she left the house around 7:45 p.m. with her baby and an acquaintance.

Dunbar’s infant child was located alone in the area of 83rd and Minnezona avenues -- about six miles away, according to Dunbar's godmother, who is confused on how the child got there.

"Jasmine would not ever, ever, ever, ever leave her baby, ever," said Dunbar's mother, Tonya Smith. "That's not the kind of mother she is."

Phoenix Police told ABC15 the baby is fine and currently in CPS custody. However, Dunbar hasn’t been seen or heard from since that night, police said.

"Yes, I think something bad happened to her," said Tracy Fulford. Family and friends are asking anyone with information to contact Phoenix Police.

"What happened to my daughter? Where's my child at?" wondered Smith.

She’s described as being African American, about 5’6” tall, 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to call the Phoenix Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 602-534-2121.
